SPRING 2026 REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

BAA Rec Baseball & Softball is built on community involvement and enters the 2026 season with a committed group of returning coaches who have experience coaching across multiple seasons and age groups.

As the program is expanding, we welcome and seek new volunteers each year. In addition to coaching and assistant coaching roles, there are many ways to support our teams, including administrative roles/team communication, running practice stations, base coaching, etc. No prior softball or coaching experience is required. If you may be interested in coaching but have some hesitation due to lack of experience, we can provide practice plans, drills, and ongoing support to help volunteers feel confident and successful. Please consider volunteering your time as you register your child.

BASEBALL

DESCRIPTIONS OF EACH AGE LEVEL ARE BELOW:

Instructional League - Co-Ed, Kindergarten and 1st Grade
Coaches introduce players to baseball fundamentals, including proper throwing mechanics, hitting fundamentals, basic fielding skills, the names and locations of field positions, and base running. Fundamental include: proper throwing mechanics, batting stance and hitting fundamentals, fielding skills, above-the-waist catching, and base running. We emphasize having fun together as a team, learning positive sportsmanship, and developing players’ confidence in their athletic abilities. This is a machine pitch league with 60 ft. base path.  Scores and standings are kept.
